Afternoon Activities

The afternoon session starts at 2.00pm and ends at 4.00pm.

During the 1st and 3rd terms the school offers an extensive range of extra curricular activities such as computers, needlework, chess club, wildlife club, stamp club, drama club, art, cookery club, marimba, and poetry.

 

Children attend afternoon activities on the following afternoons:

Mondays:                     Standard 3 & 4

Wednesdays:                Standard 5 & 6

Thursdays:                   Standard 7

 

During the first half of the 2nd term our activities change due to the House and Inter-school athletics competitions, football and netball matches and cross country events.

 

On Tuesday from 2 – 3 pm, through-out the year, Remedial Classes are held for Standard 2-6 Children who need extra coaching.

 

Setswana remedial classes for Standards 2-6 are held separately and Children will be told if they need to attend and the day and time. Standard 2 start Setswana remedial classes in Term 2.

 

There are No afternoon activities on Friday afternoons.

Sports

All Children take part in physical education (P.E.) at the School. From Standard 1, children do P.E. during the winter, and both swimming and P.E. in the summer terms.  The range of sporting activities done during the week is listed above.
